Abstract
The Honourable Justice Marc Rosenberg was enormously influential in Canadian evidence law. From his illustrious career as one of Canada's leading defence lawyers; to his celebrated work as a teacher of law students, lawyers and judges; to the hundreds of judgments he penned on the subject - it would be difficult to overstrate his contribution. This chapter will address one small part of that contribution: his work on character evidence in criminal cases.
