Abstract
This day-long symposium explores mental health and fairness dynamics in administrative proceedings. It has its origins in a study of Ontario Review Board hearings but extends its focus to other settings, which include the Consent & Capacity Board and the Social Justice Tribunals of Ontario. The symposium also includes broader perspectives, from hearing participants and communities, as well as from those who serve at-risk populations. Its broader goal is to deepen understanding – across contexts – of how administrative process is experienced by those with mental health issues, and how our concepts of fairness and access to justice must respond.
There is no charge for this conference but registration is required.
