Abstract

On May 5, 2010, Andrea Prasow, Human Rights Watch’s Senior Counsel of its Terrorism and Counterterrorism Program presented to the House of Commons Special Committee on the Canadian Mission in Afghanistan on Human Rights Watch’s analysis of Canada’s legal obligations with respect to transferring detainees in light of what is known about the methods of Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security.
