Abstract

TORONTO, June 18, 2015 – Osgoode Professional Development will celebrate international legal talent and the launch of its new Online National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) Exam Prep Bridging Program on Monday, June 22, 2015 with an afternoon workshop for internationally trained lawyers followed by a networking reception. The Online NCA Exam Prep Bridging Program is one of 10 new Ontario Bridge Training Projects to receive funding from the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade to help more than 6,000 internationally trained people find jobs that match their skills and experience.

1.30 - 5.15 p.m. - Workshop for Internationally Trained Lawyers featuring panel discussions and seminars on a range of topics of interest to internationally trained lawyers.

5.30 - 7.30 p.m. - Networking Reception with keynote address at 6 p.m. by the Hon. Mr. Justice Russell Juriansz, Court of Appeal for Ontario, on "Valuing International Legal Perspectives." Followed by the launch and demonstration of Osgoode Professional Development’s new Online NCA Exam Prep Bridging Program for internationally trained lawyers.
